About this course

The DOM is how JavaScript talks to the page. It's the bridge between the code you write and the HTML the user sees.

This course takes your JavaScript out of the console and into the browser: selecting elements, responding to clicks and input, and building pages that react to the user in real time.

What you'll learn

  • Selecting elements on the page
  • Changing content and styles from JavaScript
  • Responding to events like clicks, input, and submits
  • Creating and removing elements on the fly
  • Handling forms and validation
  • Event delegation and moving around the DOM tree
