About this course
JavaScript is the programming language of the web, the part that makes pages actually do things. This course covers the core language itself, the foundation every framework and library is built on.
You'll write and run small programs in the console, building up from your first variable to writing your own functions.
What you'll learn
- Variables and types: strings, numbers, booleans, and more
- Operators and conditionals to make decisions in code
- Storing data with arrays and objects
- Loops for repeating work
- Writing reusable functions
Prerequisites
- No prior programming experience required
- A little HTML helps but is not needed
Once you're comfortable with the language, put it to work in the browser with JavaScript Dom (opens in a new tab).
